Volunteer Opportunity: Social Media Manager for the British Ju Jitsu Association NGB

The British Ju Jitsu Association National Governing Body (BJJAGB) is currently inviting applications for a voluntary Social Media Manager position. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the promotion and visibility of ju jitsu across the UK.

About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and creative individual to help manage and grow the BJJAGB’s presence on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and others. This is a great chance to make a meaningful contribution to the sport at a national level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and schedule engaging content (e.g., training updates, member highlights, national events, grading success stories)
  • Promote BJJAGB events, seminars, and initiatives
  • Grow our online audience and engagement
  • Reflect the values and spirit of the BJJAGB in all content
  • Coordinate media (photos/videos) from clubs and events across the country
  • Respond to social media interactions appropriately or escalate where needed

Ideal Skills:

  • Confident using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
  • Some knowledge of content creation tools (e.g., Canva, scheduling tools, Reels)
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Proactive, creative, and reliable
  • Passionate about martial arts and community engagement

You don’t need to be a professional – just enthusiastic and willing to get involved!
