Equality and Diversity

Equality Statement

British Ju-Jitsu Association GB is responsible for setting the standards, values and
expectations of all members in relation to equality, inclusion and diversity. Ju-Jitsu is
for everyone; it belongs to, and should be enjoyed by anyone who wants to
participate in it, whether as a student, competitor, official, coach, instructor or
volunteer.

BJJA GB will ensure that it treats everyone fairly and with respect and that it will
provide access and opportunities for all members of the community to take part in,
and enjoy, its activities. Every Executive Committee member, official, coach,
participant and visiting volunteer can be assured of an environment in which their
rights, dignity and individual worth are respected, and in particular that they are able
to enjoy Ju-Jitsu in an environment without the threat of intimidation, victimisation,
harassment or abuse.

Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy sets out our commitment and ambitions
for Ju-Jitsu. We will work with stakeholders, member organisations and clubs to help
realise our ambitions for a truly inclusive environment in the sport of Ju-Jitsu and will
publish our key actions over the next three years to ensure we are accountable as
your Governing Body.
